Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations: Set Dancing and Céilí with John & Mary Moriarty and Music with Ms. Foley & Miss Hoctor

The staff and pupils of Kilcummin NS are delighted to welcome our dancing teachers, Mary & John Moriarty for a term of dancing at Kilcummin NS. We have been preparing a selection of dances and sets for our annual Seachtain na Gaeilge céilí, which was held on Thursday, 13th March. Thanks to Mary and John for organising a fantastic event for the whole school. It would not be possible to have Mary and John with us without the financial support of our hardworking Parents’ Association, who are funding dancing this term. Míle buíochas ó chroí libh! 

Thanks to Ms. Foley and Miss Hoctor for preparing our musicians and for accompanying them during our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. Well done to our talented musicians and singers for entertaining us! Maith sibh go léir! Thanks also to our teaching staff Ms. O’ Connor and Miss O’ Donovan for showcasing your fantastic dancing skills. You are inspirational and talented!! 

A great emphasis was placed on speaking and singing in Irish throughout Seachtain na Gaeilge. Well done to all our children and teachers for their wonderful efforts. Irish classes were taken outdoors to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge and to enjoy the beautiful spring weather also!
