Seachtain na Gaeilge & Lá Fhéile Pádraig

We were delighted to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge at Kilcummin NS. Unfortunately our annual céilí with Comhaltas had to be postponed this year due to Covid-19, but we didn’t let this dampen our spirits.

Here are some photographs of our Junior Infants on our Lá Glas to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We held our own outdoor parade with our handmade flags and we marched through the school also. We recorded a short video of the parade and an outdoor Hócaí Pócaí dance also to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge.

We have been placing a great emphasis on Irish this week are delighted with the huge efforts made by all. Our favourite seanfhocal seems to be ‘Is fearr cairde ná ór’ as we are delighted to be back together in school.
