Junior and Senior Infants have been doing lots of studies about swans recently. We have been discovering that The Ugly Duckling was not indeed a duckling, but a cygnet. As part of our history studies, we have been listening to the legend, ‘The Children of Lir’ and in our music studies, we have enjoyed listening to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. We created a very peaceful picture of our swans swimming around Lough Derravarragh in Co. Westmeath. We hope you like them!
