Today our 4th, 5th and 6th class had their school tour to Ballyhass Adventure Centre 💛 They had an amazing day! Thank you so much to Ms.Condon, Ms. O’Donovan and Teresa for bringing the class on their school tour 🏊🏄‍♀️🏹

Thank you so much to Richard’s parents for coming into school today to get us ready for our Culture Day on Friday. We got the learn all about Indian culture and Richard’s families story of when they came to Ireland. We got to try some new Indian treats today also. Thank you again !

Today for Inclusion Week, we have been learning about Down Syndrome. We are so very grateful for Simone coming into school today to give us a talk on behalf of her work with Down Syndrome Kerry. Simone gave an amazing talk about the abilities of those who have Down Syndrome and the struggles and areas that they can find difficult. We listened to the story of Hannah’s Superpowers 🦸‍♀️ Thank you to Emilie and Simone for their talk and being a part of our inclusion week.

Students took on the blindfold challenge today, learning to appreciate how difficult it must be for a person with no sight to complete every day activities. Thank you to all who brought in their scarves and blindfolds !

Inclusion Week has begun. Today we started off by learning about people who are blind and deaf and how they manage to get through life 🦮 A massive thank you to the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind for their visit to school on Tuesday. Thank you to Anne, Anna and Marcel from the Tralee branch for their visit. All students got the chance to learn about the work of guide dogs, to meet Marcel and get to give him a rub and some treats 💚

Huge congratulations goes to our Senior Girls FAI Primary 5 aside soccer team, (Pictured), who were crowned County Champions at a sun soaked Mounthawk Park in Tralee today. This fantastic bunch of girls topped their group winning all 3 games but had to play one of the teams again in the final. They were delighted with their achievement, making parents and coaching staff very proud of their relentless efforts throughout. They now go forward to represent Kerry at Munster

Junior Infants are currently completing a pen pals project with a senior infant class in Kilbrien NS, Co. Waterford. On Wednesday we received our first letter from them and today we sent our letter back. Looking forward to hearing more from our new friends. We also got a little treat in the shop for all our hard work this week 💛💌

Our senior infants and first class have completed a residency with TAP Artist Paul !! They created their very own village using recycled materials. Thank you once again Paul for your knowledge and your time ❤️
