Fourth class pupils were busy planting their potatoes today. Thanks to Paudie for freshening up our raised beds! We look forward to a fine crop of potatoes in June 🌞🥔

Well done to the 2nd Class pupils who planted potatoes & flower seeds in Páirc an Phobail recently. This initiative was organised by the Kilcummin Looking Good group & the pupils were helped by the Community Employment Participants who are supported by the Department of Social Protection. They had great fun despite the rain! ☔️

Continuing on from the major successes of Ms.Ke lliher’s book club we have started a Board Game Club every Friday with Ms. Kemple. All students are welcome to join in the fun at big lunch 🃏🎲 If anyone has any spare/unused board games we would be so grateful for the donation. See you all next Friday and thank you so much to all who joined in today !!

Today we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day with their Lots of Socks Campaign 🧦 Below are some pictures of junior infants, senior infants and first and lots more to come. Taking full advantage of the nice weather we have been having, the junior infants, senior infants and first class had an Easter Egg Hunt today! Lots of fun outside today and all enjoyed finding their eggs 🍫🐣

Our school celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge with lots of activities throughout the week ending with our Lá Glas on Friday. Each class performed for the school with dancing, musicians, poems and much more. Thank you to Ms. O’Donovan for all her hard work on preparing the ceilí and to Ms. Condon for her help preparing our musicians. Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Duit ! ☘️☘️

All throughout the school we have been working on a new STEM task Lego Spike. The fourth, fifth and sixth class have been helping our junior infants to get started 😁 Thank you again to Ms. O’Donovan and Ms. Kelliher !!

We are delighted to celebrate World Book Day again this Year. Our pupils transformed our school into a literary festival on World Book Day! It was a great time to meet with so many different characters from the children's favourite books!

Our current Junior Infants Class welcoming next years Junior Infants! We held our Open Day for our New Junior Infants Class on Friday the 27th February and are looking forward to welcome them all to big school in September. Enrolment Forms can be found on our website or can be collected in the school office.

Pancake Tuesday was a great success in Kilcummin NS. All our pupils and Staff were treaded to delicious Pancakes on the Day!

Our 4th to 6th Class Pupils enjoyed a great afternoon in the INEC when they went to see "All Shook Up" performed by the Killarney Musical Society. Our pupils even recognised some familiar faces on stage as some of our parents are part of the assemble. A great day was had by all attending.

Kilcummin NS took part in the Fittest School Week. All our Pupils did different sports activities on a daily basis.

Congratulations to Rachel O'Riordan on her recent success at Irish Dancing.

Congratulations to Holly Breen on her Cheerleading success. Holly was delighted to show her 3 medals (gold, silver & bronze) she won at a recent Competition.

On Monday the 15th December our School Sports Hall was alive with Music as we held our first School Play in our own Hall. The children all looked and sounded fantastic on the Night! We couldn't be prouder of all the performances given on the night!

Well done to our 4th, 5th and 6th Class Pupils who went Carol Singing at Market Cross in Aid of our Parents Association Flag Day! You all sounded beautifully and we received grate Feedback from the Passer Byes.

Kilcummin NS was delighted to receive a visit from Sam McGuire to celebrate the great Kerry Football Team success. Our pupils were delighted to get to see the Cup up close. Thanks to Shauna O'Connor and David Clifford for organising the visit to our school.
